Agricultural Recovery: Typhoon Haiyan Response.

CRS was one of the first INGOs on the ground after Typhoon Haiyan hitting the Philippines on November 8, 2013. To complement and follow up humanitarian relief programs this assignment looked at the challenges and needs of the affected communities to recover and sustainably develop their livelihoods. To inform medium and long-term programs situational and market assessments were conducted in the heavily affected fisheries/aquaculture and coconut based sectors. As Team Lead the consultant integrated findings in proposals and a livelihoods development strategy.
