Leading the preparation of the Asian Development Bank’s blue investments framework across the Indo-Pacific, including blue economy development, MPAs and OECMs.

PROPOSAL WRITING SUPPORT.

Supporting the Namibia Nature Foundation (NNF) to develop a successful grant proposal to the Blue Action Fund, to support the ongoing management of the Namibian Islands Marine Protected Area (NIMPA).

FACILITATION OF THE CORAL TRIANGLE REGIONAL SECRETARIAT AND STRATEGIC PARTNERS HYBRID MEETING.

Supporting the design, development, implementation and facilitation of the Partners Meeting for the six-nation Coral Triangle Initiative for Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF). Focused on progress of the partner papers initiatives in: (1) development of a Conservation Trust Fund, (2) development of a Capacity Building RoadMap for the region, and (3) enhancement of International Policy Engagement.

FISHERIES EXPERT.

Reviewing submitted Requests for Information (RFI) and other relevant background information and proposal drafts from expert teams at multiples stages throughout a marine programme proposal process. Supporting the live proposal reviews (pink & red stages) and submitting feedback accordingly.

FISHERIES ADVISORY EXPERT CONSULTING.

Assisting Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (BAPPENAS) in reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and baselines to inform strategic planning for Indonesia’s Blue Economy Roadmap, with a focus on trade and investment planning.

ECOLOGICAL PLANNING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF MANAGEMENT MEASURES.

Designing, coordinating and undertaking ecological surveys of marine and terrestrial habitats across the Maldives with the aim of designating protected areas and designing management plans. Using ecological and social surveys and secondary data to create impact mitigation strategies for local communities and coastal developments. Providing technical support for developing zoning plans and habitat and impact mapping. Liaising with government departments, private industry, and local communities. Creating comprehensive reports on the marine and terrestrial ecology of the Maldives.

CONSERVATION STRATEGY SUPPORT.

Supporting the Blue Marine Foundation to develop a program strategy for their multi-country Mediterranean conservation program. Conducting a landscape assessment and key stakeholder surveys to assess strategy needs and opportunities. Facilitating team workshops to participatorily conceptualise, develop and draft the strategy for the Mediterranean Sea, focused on small-scale fisheries recovery, MPA expansion, management effectiveness, and habitat protection.
